The Merveilleuse belt

Vaincourt values your opinion. We designed what we believe to be the ideal belt: "La Merveilleuse"

1. A belt for everyone

Available from size 70 to 115 to satisfy as many of you as possible. Its three adjustment holes (2.5 cm between each hole) allow you to wear it as you wish. On a coat, it will be fitted without being tight, on a dress or a shirt, it can be loose or fitted, according to your preferences.

2. Full grain leather

As we want this belt to be of the highest quality, we chose 100% full grain calf leather, grained and vegetable tanned for the lining. Full grain leather is a leather that has kept its upper surface intact. It is the part of the hide with the highest density of fibres, which makes it resistant and soft. The premium quality leather we use is supplied by the finest European tanneries (France, Italy, Spain, Belgium). It has been awarded the LWG Gold or Silver Medal (certificate of performance and sustainable environmental practices awarded by the Leather Working Group).

3. Made in France

Once selected, the leather is crafted in our workshops certified "Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant" (Living Heritage Company), in Limousin and Normandy. The traditional know-how of our craftspeople is unique. Most of them have been with Vaincourt since its creation. We are pleased to contribute to the development of French talent, passionate about great craftsmanship.

4. Covered buckle

There is no ideal belt without an ideal buckle. So, we have chosen to cover a buckle with beautiful rectangular proportions for our Merveilleuse belt. The buckle blends in with the strap for an elegant and qualitative look.

5. Comfort above all

We believe comfort of a belt is a real criterion of choice today. We have made this belt as comfortable as possible. The belt is cut in a curve to fit naturally on the waist.

6. Perfect finishing

Very demanding on details, our finishings reflect a highly traditional “savoir-faire”. One of the last steps of belt making is the burnishing ; an aesthetic finishing, which requires precision. With a hot iron the leathergood maker burns the sides of the belt to underline the stitching and renforce the strap.
