Vaincourt was born from the imagination of a bold and discerning woman of fashion, in partnership with a talented leather craftsman, recognized as an "Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant" (Living Heritage Company) and based in the Limousin region of France.
Today, Vaincourt is driven by a Parisian team inspired by beauty, noble materials, and the excellence of French artisanal craftsmanship.
Our original collections, crafted in France with artisanal expertise and luxury know-how, stand at the crossroads between the major luxury houses, for whom the belt is primarily an expression of logos and monograms, often manufactured in Italy or France. And fashion brands that design practical, tactical models to accessorize ready-to-wear collections, produced at lower cost and quality in Southern Europe, North Africa, or Asia.
Beyond trends, Vaincourt’s signature style merges contemporary essentials with unapologetic creativity.
THE ART OF LEATHER
When working with leather in French leather goods workshops certified EPV (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant), to create belts and corsets with style… what could be more natural than expanding the collection?
We embrace your waist… now let us take you by the hand! Because accessorizing a silhouette also means adorning the wrists, VAINCOURT launched in 2024 a collection of bracelets, miniature variations of its iconic belts and corsets.
Our most loyal clients were already commissioning bespoke accessories for their dogs. Today, the demand for collars and leashes crafted from the same premium leathers, and designed and produced by hand in France, is growing rapidly! Elegance and style now extend all the way down the leash, to the necks of our most faithful companions.
Each piece is meticulously crafted in France by highly skilled artisans, passionate about leather and exceptional finishes.
The Vaincourt Team
At the helm is Sophie Gachet, a luxury enthusiast who gained her expertise at Louis Vuitton and TAG Heuer.
'As the granddaughter, daughter and sister of artisans, I am deeply committed to showcase French craftsmanship and the art of handmade work. There's much talk about re-industrialising France: let's be proud of our talents! I love the idea of creating elegant, creative and minimalist accessories of the highest quality, designed to last for years.'
What motivates me: working in a small, committed team, all focused on the same goal and fully engaged in the action.
By her side, Morgane who joined the team in February 2020, oversees the sales development
and the production.
Coming from a business school, she started her career at Lacoste, then Tartine et Chocolat. After that she wanted to play a real role in her job and wanted a more human-sized project.
